FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Vision and Objective

1. To remove the financial barriers to participation in soccer.

2. To maximize the soccer playing opportunities for youth in our community.

3. To provide a process which encourages application via a private procedure.

4. To include this program as one element of our "Community Vision", which will include programs for disadvantaged children, or those with special needs.

In order to meet these objectives, Guelph Soccer has developed an internal fund that will be able to provide financial assistance.  This fund can be accessed by qualified applicants that are approved through our program partner.  The following activities within the club will have access to these funds:

~Youth House League Program (Fall, Winter & Summer sessions)

~Fundamentals Skill Development Program (available at both House League & Rep Level for Fall, Winter & Summer sessions)

~Youth Rep Program*

*Please note that when applying for financial assistance to the Youth Rep Program, only the Club's registration fee is available for application.  Additional fee's that may be payable to the team, off season league entry, and/or equipment are not eligible for assistance through this program.

Partnership

Guelph Soccer is pleased to announce it's continued Financial Assistance Partnership for 2012 with the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.  The Children's Foundation provides a private screening process for parents and/or legal guardians of youth looking to participate in Guelph Soccer's programs.  The appropriate documents required for application can be found here , or in person at the Guelph Soccer Clubhouse, located at 375 College Avenue West in Guelph.

Funding Process

1. Complete registration in person at the Clubhouse or via our on-line registration tool.

2. Tick the box, when asked "Will you be seeking financial assistance from Guelph Soccer/ The Children's Foundation for this program"?

3. The registration will automatically hold a spot in the requested program, and will be of  "pending" status while awaiting funding.

4. The Children's Foundation application will be provided to those registering in person at the Clubhouse, and to those who register on-line, the application can be found in the top left of the Children's Foundation page, you will be required to print and complete.

5. The Children's Foundation will communicate the assessed amount of assistance to both the applicant and to Guelph Soccer.  If you have not heard within 15 days of your application, please contact the Children's Foundation directly to ensure that they have receive the required documents.

6. Guelph Soccer will then cover the assessed amount from our internal fund, and will request the residual amount from the parent/legal gaurdian of the registered player.

7. This amount must be received within 7 days of your approval.  If payment has not been received, your child may be pulled from the pending status if further payment arrangements have not been made.  Once the residual amount has been paid, Guelph Soccer will then confirm the program spot.

Additional Notes

Please note that applications for funding must be submitted to the Children's Foundation within 7 days of registering with Guelph Soccer.  Available funding is limited.  Guelph Soccer strongly encourages those who are seeking to benefit from the assistance program, to complete the application process as early as possible.  The screening process can take up to 10 business days from point of application submission.  For any reason that an application for funding is received after the close date of registration to the club's programs, your child may not be able to participate in that session.  Should you require confidential assistance completing your forms, or any other information regarding our Financial Assistance program, you may contact:
