POSITION TITLE: Program Supervisor
REPORTS TO: General Manager
START DATE: As soon as possible
HOURS OF WORK: 17.5 hours a week (Monday - Thursday evenings)
NUMBER OF WEEKS: 16 weeks (ending the week of October 26th)
BACKGROUND
Guelph Soccer operates as a non-profit youth soccer club in the City of Guelph and wishes to offer its members the highest possible administration support to meet the expectations of the athletes, coaches, and parents of Guelph Soccer’s programs.
OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Program Supervisor will be a key member of our team and will be integral to getting our Rep Program return to play program started. This person will have a wide range of responsibilities from customer service, program support to emergency preparedness. This role is part of the funding provided through Canada Summer Jobs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Program Supervision
· Provides excellent customer service to Guelph Soccer volunteers and members which includes responding to inquiries and request and resolving concerns as necessary in a prompt, effective and courteous manner.
· Prioritizes player and coach safety at all time by following at COVID-19 return to play protocols.
· Enforces facility protocols, rules, and regulations, as necessary.
· Assists in emergency protocols as required in training.
· Assist with the sanitization of equipment as required.
· Assist teams and coaches by signing in and out players as needed.
· Operates equipment safely and report any unsafe work conditions or practice to the General Manager.
· Provides personal protective equipment (masks) to coaches and spectators as needed.
2. Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time by the General Manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and key social media platforms.
· Experience in soccer an asset.
· Experience planning and coordinating events an asset.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Access to a vehicle an asset.
