Level 2 Club Licence Holder

Guelph Soccer is a proud Member Association Level 2 (MA Level 2) Club Licence holder in Canada Soccer’s progressive National Youth Club Licensing Program. One level below the National Youth Club Licence (NYCL), MA Level 2 encompasses the standards of Canada Soccer’s Quality Soccer Provider and MA Level 1 Club Licence levels and demonstrates that Guelph Soccer aspires to move into the Development/Performance Stream as an NYCL holder. 

In addition to meeting the standards outlined by Canada Soccer, Guelph Soccer has demonstrated governance, administration, infrastructure, and technical aptitude with respect to the best practices outlined for MA Level 2 clubs. 

Adoption of these best practices and adherence to the standards have ensured that Guelph Soccer has a development, governance, and administrative profile that ensures the club is a good corporate citizen. The club is guided by strong governance, strategic, marketing and development plans. Guelph Soccer also works to design and deliver programs and strategies to ensure access to all who wish to participate in the game across the Guelph community and details the values for which it stands in search of community partners. 

On the technical side, the club has aligned to Canada Soccer’s Player Development model. This includes coach education and player development opportunities that ensure its players understand the player pathways provincially and nationally. 

Guelph Soccer adheres to all elements of Canada Soccer’s Safe Sport Roster that ensures all its staff, volunteers, and board have received appropriate safe sport training, including the appropriate modules from the Respect Group, and required training on behalf of the Coaching Association of Canada where applicable.
