2025-2026 Grassroots Identification Sessions
U8-U13 (2018-2013)
Guelph Soccer is home to the Jr. Gryphons - a player-centered development model that is among the best in the province. Guelph Soccer hosts Identification Sessions within the fall months to provide players with the opportunity to have an inclusive playing experience within our organization.
Our development sessions allow for athletes to participate in training sessions where they can experience being coached by our age group coaches, interact with players within their cohort, and experience our overall developmental environment. Our goal is to advance our players to reach their potential.
These sessions allow families to determine if the competitive pathway at Guelph Soccer is the best environment for their child(ren)’s individual development. It also allows the club to recruit athletes and players beyond technical and tactical competencies, accounting for character traits such as engagement, joy, the will to learn, and more.

All new players that are identified for the program will have their Fall House League payment transferred over to their competitive fees.
About the 2025-2026 Competitive rep program
The competitive program runs from October 2025 to September 2026. During the indoor season (October to April), teams will have one turf practice per week and an 11-week futsal program led by technical staff.
From May to the end of August, U8-U13 age groups will have two practices per week and one festival (1-2 games) every Saturday excluding long weekends. All grassroots teams participate in the Southwest District Soccer League (SWDSL).
